Verse of the Day – Matthew 28:19

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

Matthew 28:19 (NRSV)

Prodigal Thoughts: "Lights! Camera! Aaaaand ACTION!!!" I can just see/hear the snap of the movie marker and the producer watching the characters, the players for a movie who have studied their lines, practiced, and prepared for their roles. And now, it is time to act! How does this relate to today’s verse? God is excited with anticipation as to the action we will take to go and make disciples for the growth of His kingdom. What is our role? We need to depend on Him to give us the words through the Holy Spirit to speak, but we can be studying His word. We can be praying that God would show us those He wants you to reach out to that are around us. But not only knowing the Word and prayer, but in our living, our everyday actions. When we have hope and live out that hope and love that God has given us, people will be drawn to you. When the Holy Spirit alerts you that the time is right, speak the words of life that God lays on your heart. You may not see that person come to salvation, but God can use you to plant or water the seeds of life that He is planting.

Prayer for today: Today, I pray that we would make the most of every opportunity to share the grace, hope, and love that has been extended to us by our heavenly Father. That we would be ambassadors of Christ in the world around us. I pray that we would never give up on those who need God as He has never given up on us.

If you need prayer, please reply and I will pray for you. If you would like to talk about this verse or have questions, I’m always open for your feedback.

God’s grace on you…
