Verse of the Day – John 14:26

"But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you."

John 14:26 (NRSV)

Prodigal Thoughts: We have ALL of the resources we need to be an avid and devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Not only do we have His example of how to live our lives, but we also have the Holy Spirit who will teach us and remind us of the words of Jesus. I admit, there are plenty of times where it is challenging to listen and pay attention due to ADHD, but that just means I have to be more diligent. So, in general, if so many "Christians" are in the world, but not living His example, does that mean we are not listening? Maybe we are just side-tracked by the busyness of life or work or whatever. Trust me, I know it is easy to get side-tracked. One thing I have learned with my faith journey with a side order of ADHD is that I have to prioritize doing bible study, journal writing (which this is a good bit of it), prayer, and sitting/waiting on God’s presence. When I don’t prioritize, I spend little to no time with God. But when I place my relationship with God as a priority, everything else in life seems to just fall more in line.

Prayer for today: Today, I pray that we would understand that we have ALL of the resources available for a dynamic relationship with God through the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. That we would place our relationship with God as a priority so we are able to grow in maturity, not lacking anything. I pray that as we spend more time with God, that He would not only bless us in our lives, but that He would bless others through our relationship with Him.

If you need prayer, please reply and I will pray for you. If you would like to talk about this verse or have questions, I’m always open for your feedback.

God’s grace on you…
