Verse of the Day – Galatians 6:10

"So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith."

Galatians 6:10 (NRSV)

Prodigal Thoughts: Let us work for the good of all? Well, what about the people that treat me horribly or berate me? Certainly, I don’t have to help those people, right? According to the example of Christ, yes, all means all. Sure, we might get strange looks or snide remarks from some, but we need to remember that the good we do for others is up to us. How the good work is received is up to them. Our obedience in making the most of every opportunity will be rewarded with spiritual growth and gain a little more insight into God’s heart for His people. So, when you see the opportunity, go for it.

Prayer for today: I pray that we would ask God to give us a heart like His so we can interact with His people how He would want. That we would have a spiritual boldness to step out in faith to help or serve someone else, even a total stranger. Lastly, I pray that as a result of our obedience, God would use those moments to increase His kingdom.

If you need prayer, please reply and I will pray for you. If you would like to talk about this verse or have questions, I’m always open for your feedback.

God’s grace on you…
